BPUK Press Releases
On behalf of BPUK, the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment and Cercl'Air the ozone measurement data of all Switzerland are collected and a press release is dispatched in case of high ozone values.
In Northern Switzerland, a press release is dispatched on work days as soon as ozone values exceed 180 µg/m³ at three or more stations between 12:00 and 17:00 and – based on weather forecasts – values of over 180 µg/m³ are also to be expected for the following day. In Southern Switzerland, a press release is only dispatched on the first day of a period with values exceeding 180 µg/m³ at two or more stations. 180 µg/m³ corresponds to 150% of the ozone threshold according to Swiss laws.
