Electrosmog Modeling

Non ionizing radiation or "electrosmog" occurs whenever electricity is being produced, transported or used as well as from transmitters and wireless communication.

Cooperation with ARIAS

Modeling of the spacial distribution of electrosmog immissions is performed by our partner firm ARIAS in Bern. Based on the transmission power of the transmitters, ARIAS calculates the spatial distribution.

From the results, METEOTEST generates an interactive map, which is provided to the general public via internet.

Example: Electrosmog in Central Switzerland

In a joint project of the environmental authorities of Central Switzerland, ARIAS periodically calculates the electrosmog for the whole area of the cantons of Uri, Schwyz, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Lucerne and Zug. METEOTEST publishes this data in an interactive map on the website www.e-smogmessung.ch.
