HORIcatcher - Horizon capturing device for shadowing analysis

With HORIcatcher you can register the horizon in the field quickly and efficiently in order to calculate limitations of the sunshine duration and irradiation due to obstacles. The result can be analyzed directly in the field.

Horizon mirror, the camera and the mounting device are attached to a regular photographic tripod. The built-in circular level allows a precise leveling of the device.

Using HORIcatcher, METEOTEST also provides individual sunshine exposure analyses.

  • Camera mounting device and horizon mirror
  • Analysis software for Windows PCs: The software calculated the sun's orbit, which is put in relation with the horizon. After digitizing the horizon and saving the data, the horizon file can be importet to METEONORM in order to precisely calculate solar irradiation. Customers can download the newes version here:
