METEOTEST organized the International Workshop on Atmospheric Icing on Structures IWAIS from 8 to 11 September 2009 in Andermatt, Switzerland. The workshop was combined with the final workshop of the COST Action 727.

On June 21/22 2001, the conference Fels & Eis 07 was organized by METEOTEST in Andermatt in cooperation with Verein Energiewerkstatt and Elektrizitätswerk Ursern (sponsered by Suisse Eole and EnergieSchweiz). The theme of the conference was "Wind power in cold climate and complex terrain".

Wind Power Concept of Switzerland

2004 the "Konzept Windenergie Schweiz" was published by the Swiss authorities. METEOTEST managed the project, produced a wind map and performed an analysis of the wind power potential of Switzerland.

Since 2003 METEOTEST is member of the "DMG-Qualitätskreises Wetterberatung" of the "Deutschen Meteorologischen Gesellschaft".

For Suisse Eole and the Swiss Federal Office of Energy, METEOTEST operates a website concerning the wind resources in Switzerland since 2000. On this website, amongst other contents, the wind potential can be determined for any location in Switzerland. The site is continually updated with current measurements data and the wind map is updated with results of new wind measurement campaigns.

1999 METEOTEST in collaboration with Ökoskop produced the Swiss Guidelines for Wind Power for the Swiss Federal Office of Energy.
