Meteotest was founded 1981 as a private, independent company. We provide sound scientific expertise as well as broad practical experience gained from work on a large variety of projects. Our team consists of almost 30 scientists, engineers and IT specialists.
METEOTEST is organized as a cooperative. The majority of the company is owned by the employees. This aspect is a guarantee for the long term successful strategy of our company as well as a high dedication towards our clients.
Green Commitment
- METEOTEST is committed to ecological issues since it was founded. Consequently, METEOTEST errected one of Switzerland's first wind turbines in 1992. Today we cover our electricity demands 100% with renewables (naturemade star with a solar share of 5%).
- "Green IT": Our servers are based in Europe's greenest data center and through virtualization we conserve hardware and electricity.
- METEOTEST is member of the group NEUE ENERGIE Bern, which is dedicated to renewable energies and energy efficiency.
- This dedication is shared by our employees: over 90% of commuting is by foot, bicycle or public transport.
