What do you get?

• Place and date of the information.

• Current wind at the next station (direction and speed in knots; e.g. E5 = east, 5 knots).
• Wind forecasts (direction and knots) for 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours.

Instructions for single queries

• Send an SMS with the content WIND <LAKE> to the number 9234 (CHF 0.50 per SMS). Instead of <LAKE> write the 3-digit code for your location/lake (see table below).

Retrieve information about the service

• Send an SMS with the content WIND INFO to the number 9234 (CHF 0.50 per SMS) for information on the service.
• Send an SMS with the content WIND LIST to the number 9234 (CHF 0.50 per SMS) for a list of available locations/lakes.

Instructions for subscriptions

• The SMS wind service is also available as a subscription. With the subscription, you are always informed about the wind on your lake.
• After subscribing, you receive a maximum of one SMS (CHF 0.50 per SMS) daily on 8:15, 9:15 or 10:15 if the current wind speed, the 3-hour forecast or the 6-hour forecast is above 15 knots.

• The content of the SMS is identical to the single query reply.

Instructions

• Start subscription: Send an SMS with the content  START WIND <LAKE> to the number 9234.
• Stop the subscription: Send an SMS with the content STOP WIND <LAKE> to the number 9234.
• Instead of <LAKE> write the 3-digit code for your location/lake (see table below).
• The SMS to start and stop the service (START WIND <LAKE> und STOP WIND <LAKE>) is free of charge.

• Example: For a subscription for the Lake of Morat write an SMS with the following content to the number 9234: START WIND MUR

You can retreive current and forecast wind information from these 15 locations/lakes. Write: WIND <LAKE> (replace <LAKE> with the 3-digit code from the list below). Send your query to the number 9234.
