METEOTEST was included as the first Swiss institution in the "Qualitätskreis Wetterberatung" (quality circle weather consulting) of the German Meteorological Association (DMG).

DMG is committed to meteorology as an applied and pure science, including weather consulting. With the founding of the "Qualitätskreis Wetterberatung" in 2001, a step was taken to take firms outside the traditional national weather services into account. For firms with high quality standards in their work, DMG offers the possibility of acknowledgement and acceptance into the "Qualitätskreis Wetterberatung". An acceptance is based on the approval of the requirements, responsibilities and standards of the "Qualitätskreis Wetterberatung".
